Update - Annual General Meeting 2020
Due to ongoing safety considerations and restrictions on participant numbers, our AGM will now be held as a stand-alone online event. The President’s Address, Medal and Award presentations and President’s Dinner will now be held as a separate themed event in 2021.

An Introductory Guide to the Geology of the Great Whin Sill and Hadrian's Wall - by Caitlin Leverett
During the Covid-19 lockdown, the University of Newcastle tasked their first-year Earth Science students to produce some field guides to classic geological localities in the Northumberland National Park and adjacent areas. The University awarded a prize of 2 years’ student membership of YGS to the best project, which we are pleased to feature on our website.
